Star Wars Resistance is a promising start to a new, high-flying adventure shepherded by the talented Filoni and his team, and it’s one that I hope long-standing fans and a new generation of Resistance fighters alike will come to love.

Big Mouth Season 2 cuts uncomfortably close to the quick at times and really makes you feel like you’re reliving your own adolescence. Luckily, the show is sweet enough to take some of the sting out of the close-to-home moments, but earnest enough to make you feel a real connection with these poor unfortunate characters.

The expert editing keeps the pace up as the story dashes from place to place, but there are moments where this work really shines, particularly when acting as a way to juxtapose life in the Reich vs life in the Resistance. There’s something for everyone this season, and though it’s a slow-burn drama compared to some shows on TV today, the 10-episode watch is well worth your time.

In short, it’s got everything you’ve come to know and love from The Venture Bros. and we can’t wait to see more.

Shaw, Thomason, Abrams & Co. really nail the core concepts of King’s storytelling here. Each character gets a good amount of screen time to focus on introspection. ... Castle Rock is a can’t-miss series for Stephen King fans and a must-watch horror show for fans of dark, thrilling, character-focused mysteries.

There’s a lot going on in this season, perhaps too much to address everything fans want in as deep a way as they want it, but Trollhunters wraps up nicely and rewards fans for their years of devotion.

It’s a family-friendly series that should find favor with fans of the original toon, young viewers who will be watching the moose and squirrel for the first time, and audiences of all ages.

You might have a good idea of how all of these pieces are going to intersect, but the real fun is in watching these characters come together in interesting ways.

This dysfunctional family comes together in exciting ways that lead to a lot of conflict, and they’re tested in ever more traumatizing ways, with heart-breaking results. It’s these characters that make the show worth watching.

The series’ variety of story, themes, and mood, coupled with an incredible cast and high-quality world-building make Electric Dreams a must-watch for any sci-fi fan worth their salt.

Trollhunters Season 2 is a solid return for the magical adventure series that makes good on Season 1 promises, matures along with its audience, and deepens the mythology in an enchanting way, all while making bold storytelling decisions through non-traditional narrative structures. It’s everything an animated series should be, and more.

This definitely isn’t kid friendly. And yet the violence and gore serves the story, one that’s not about a simple action-packed adventure of a trio of heroes wandering the Wallachian countryside, but the very real battle of complex heroes fighting for what’s right and protecting the innocent from darkness, death, and ignorance.

The Mist treats its characters as fully fleshed-out yet flawed human beings who make perfectly rational decisions, even if those decisions end up working out rather poorly in the end. This grounded and realistic introduction to a relatable cast of characters goes a long way toward getting audiences invested in them, all the better to respond to the horror that’s about to come.

SuperMansion excels at superhero send-ups, but it also delivers a compelling storyline in each episode. Some are more comic book-y than others.
